This tour visits a huge food market which has been around, almost unchanged, since the 1920's, although a market has been on the site for much longer. Here you can find some of the oldest buildings in the city and, if you wish, do a bit of shopping. After visiting the market area, we will go to a nearby Buddhist temple. This is a morning walk as the market closes at noon. The walk lasts approximately one-and-a-half hours (depending on how much shopping you do!). As the temple is an active place of worship, we request that all participants dress and act appropriately. We also limit the number of participants to three. The walk is not suitable for children.
